Starting with just two people (a husband and wife team), established in 2009, the company has now grown to a team of 20 staff. Moving from a back bedroom to a 4000Sq/ft offices and warehouse in Lancashire.

Loft Boarding Deal For Houses Built After 1960

These packages are most suited to houses built after around 1960 with a trussed style roof.
You will require an existing modern hinged fold down loft hatch.
If you do not have this you can upgrade your loft hatch to a new one
from only £90 - £120 depending on age of property.

Loft Boarding Deal For Houses Built Before 1960
These packages are most suited to older more established Victorian terraced style houses with weaker ceilings that require a self supporting sub-frame, not boarding to the joists directly or by using 3x2 battens (This is not correct).
More than likely if you have an old wood push up hatch then this package is for your house as it includes enlarging your existing hatch opening and installing a brand new build regulations energy efficient plastic hinged down hatch. (Extra for relocating hatch from £80 to £150)

Modern Property Loft Storage

A lot of people don't realise that some companies just simply board directly on to your ceiling without any consideration to the ceiling joist strength or the insulation that is there.
We don't! And further more we are the only LoftZone approved raised loft sub-frame installer in the Northwest.


The cheapest and simplest solution to the very common problem of storing items in a fully-insulated loft is to install a raised floor above the insulation.

The LoftZone raised loft floor is a lightweight, low cost, easy-to-install and very strong platform for storing items and walking on, while protecting the 270mm loft insulation and allowing it to save energy and cut fuel bills as intended.

The combined cost of insulation, the LoftZone raised loft floor and loft flooring panels is still cheaper than the only other safe solution, which is to lay rigid foam insulation on the loft floor and board above that.
There is also no need to spend time cutting the foam to size nor worry about leaving air gaps.


Other products to raise the height of the loft floor don't work as well because loft joists are not evenly spaced, which means it can be difficult to secure the loft boards firmly on to them.
Only the LoftZone system has BBA (British Board of Agrement) approval and complies with the latest building regulations, so it will not compromise your NHBC guarantee.

Older Property Loft Storage

We are unique in what we do, as we are the only company in the Northwest that installs our very own designed modern supporting timber sub-frame method, perfect for older properties that don't have the desired requirements or joist strength for the LoftZone system or direct joist boarding.


We always build a strengthened raised timber sub-frame system, using supporting walls and purlin's hung under the sub-frame, so as not to add any load to your existing ceiling joists. Unlike most other companies who just simply add some battens or 3x2 on top of your existing ceiling, which simply adds weight that the existing ceiling joists cannot take. This is not the way to do it anymore.


Those older DIY methods are long gone now, but there are still some companies who still do it the old way, and have failed to move on and up with the latest building regulations. Some are still using roof batten or some 3 x 2 straight on to the joists which is no longer considered the right way to board your loft. We only use professional modern ways to install a supported floor in your loft, that's why we are so successful in what we do, because we go above and beyond to get it right.
Remember a supported loft floor is completely different to a slightly raised or batten floor. One of our supported floors is not build direct on tot he ceiling and is raised up 270mm above your ceiling plaster so all you insulation can remain so as not to compromise your homes energy efficiency.
